The brief

A Bahamas-based, crypto-only exchange wanted a token economy that rewarded active traders without depending on new buyers. The design had to work with a subscription business, line up with the whitepaper and sit within the DARE Act.

What I did

  • Utility and governance token (TIII) for fee discounts, staking and voting
  • Gas token (TAF) for trading, staking yields and a burn mechanism
  • Quarterly buyback-and-burn programme funded from exchange revenue
  • Tiered fee discounts of up to 45% based on holdings
  • Subscription tiers from $500 to $2,200 simulated across user types
  • Liquidity buffer planning for centralised and decentralised exchange listings

Frameworks and tools

  • Dual-token model
  • Buyback and burn
  • Bahamas DARE Act
  • Google Sheets

Outcome

  • Modelled revenue of more than $8.7M over four months on $12.15B projected trading volume
  • Tokenomics, subscription whitepaper and financial model delivered as one consistent set
